Makroökonometrische Modelle sind in Deutschland aus der kurzfristigen Wirtschaftsprognose und der Prozeßanalyse nicht mehr wegzudenken. Die Entwicklung dahin war zwar auch von Verlangsamungen und Unterbrechungen begleitet - die generelle Disreputation der Makroökonomie in den siebziger Jahren, Lucas-Kritik sowie überzogene Versprechungen der Modellbauer und die z. T. wenig transparente Modellpraxis waren nicht ohne Spuren geblieben. There are some remarkable parallels, and some equally interesting differences, between Adolf Hitler and Germany's earlier ruler, Kaiser Wilhelm II. The most obvious parallel is that both were cult figures who brought their country to ruin and the world to war, but when Robert G.L. Waite began to seriously compare the two men, the number of specific similarities was striking. Berichte von Mitgliedern des Internat.Sozialistischen Kampfbundes (ISK) aus dem besetzten Deutschland 1945/46. Die Berichte zeichnen sich durch 2 Kriterien aus: 1. Distanz zur NS-Zeit aufgrund der polit.Einstellung der Berichtenden und 2. Kenntnis der Verhältnisse vor Ort. Die meisten Schilderungen aus dieser Zeit stammen von Ausländern. Es existiert wenig Forschungsmaterial über diesen Zeitraum, das von Deutschen verfaßt wurde.
